Meet the Misfits | James Gass

An Unexpected Claus

James will be playing the role of Santa in our the 2018 production of The Broom Cupboard.

A Misfit veteran, James has always loved providing entertainment and has been performing speeches, songs, and shows for over 20 years. There is something about the connection with a live audience that pulls us out of the mundane, yet communicates directly to the heart of who we are, and James deeply resonates with that connection.

A career in Business Intelligence, Data Structuring, and Analysis often pulls James toward the more technical pursuits of life, so he is always glad to spend time in the creative end of the spectrum and even see (as he often does) where the two worlds compliment each other. He is involved in music and creative writing groups here in Greenville.

James participates in Freedom Blast for the city of Greer with fellow Misfits, Markel Toler and Lindsay Bean

James participates in Freedom Blast with fellow Misfits for the city of Greer.

After spending several years working on production teams, James returned to the stage in 2017, showcasing his Misfit debut as “Franklin/Shakespeare” in Pies and Prejudice. He is excited to return as a Misfit this year and continue the company’s legacy of making people laugh. It is an honour to work with so many talented people and learn from their collective experience and technique.

James could not be a part of this (or anything really) without the support of his wife Katrina and their two children.
