Meet the Misfits | Taylor Schofield

"love is like the empty void of space..."

Taylor is playing the role of Wandering Musical Troubadour Guarding the Fabric of Space and Time itself...but also could just be Lost in our 2018 production of The Broom Cupboard.

Taylor Schofield’s love of singing has returned her to the stage once again. As a young girl, she fell in love with musical theatre when she was cast in the chorus of Oklahoma. She found her love of performing carried on to acting, and she has since gone on to perform in other roles such as “Penny” Honk, “Sylvette” The Romancers, “Mother” After Magritte, and “Adriana” Comedy of Errors.

Taylor attended Northland International University to study Vocal Pedagogy, and was cast in the spring semester play as Jenny McDaniel in “Thy Morn Shall Rise” where she met her now husband, Johnathan Schofield, Director and Founder of Misfit Theatre Company. Together, they have two little girls who continually keep their voices warmed up with renditions of Bambi’s “Little April Shower”.

When Taylor isn’t singing with her two children, she stays busy as the Owner and Operator of Let Them Eat Cake Pops. Her gourmet cake pops were sold during last year’s performance of Pies and Prejudice, and she has gone on to create custom cake pops for other performing arts companies such as Sterling Studios, and International Ballet of Greenville, SC.
