Meet the Misfits | Markel Toler

Markel is playing the role of Bagatha and is serving as Music Director in our 2018 production of The Broom Cupboard.
A Misfit Veteran, Markel has been shoulder to shoulder in the ranks of the production team since our first Misfit show 3 years ago. Last year, she demonstrated her outstanding ability to lead both on and off stage by providing vocal direction for the cast of Pies & Prejudice, while simultaneously charming audiences when she played our adapted version of the iconic role - Elizabeth Bennet. This is Markel's third Misfit Show, and she is excited for what is up head.

Markel has loved and worked in theater from a young age. All through her college career she participated in multiple productions where she has enjoyed acting, singing, backstage work, vocal coaching and even dialect coaching.
Markel as Elizabeth Bennet - Pies & Prejudice 2017
For the past 3 years she has taught at Artios Academies of Greenville, a Fine Arts based school, where she has been teaching musical theater, and putting on large scale high school productions. In April 2017, Markel had the amazing privilege of performing with her students as Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, and forever solidified her love of being on and off stage. ________________ The Broom Cupboard opens in just 8 short days!
