Stars Off Stage | Nathan Warrick
This month we got to know our own Nathan Warrick a little bit better. What did he share with us? Come find out.
Q: Sweet or Spicy?
A: Sweet over spicy hands down - my spice tolerance is absurdly low
Q: Who is your favorite Muppet?
A: Favorite Muppet is definitely Kermit. Cliche, but I don't care. Kermit's cool
(We now return you to your regularly scheduled interview)
Q: This is your first play, is it not?
A: First play, correct.
Q: What are you most excited for?
A: I'm most excited about being a part of an actual production. It's something I've wanted to do for some years now but didn't think I'd actually get to do, especially when I found out it was a musical.
Q: What are you most nervous for?
A: The song. I love singing and do it often but I consider myself mediocre at best. I don't want to let the rest of the cast and crew down.
Q: You're a sports commentator? What is your favorite weird thing to say during a game/what is your favorite sport to announce for?
A: Sports commentating is what I'd do full time if I could. I love it! I'd like to think I keep weirdness to a minimum when I'm on air, but I'm sure some bleeds through :) Favorite sport to announce is basketball, volleyball would be #2
Q: What was the first play you ever remember seeing?
A: First play I remember was Freshman year at BJU, Arsenic and Old Lace - which coincidentally PMG (now fellow cast member) performed in.
Q: So you write and draw. what is your favorite way to express yourself of the two and why?
A: I do write and draw, though not as often as I'd like. Favorite method of self-expression is definitely poetry. I like the beauty of it and the way it forces me to make ideas take shape.
Q: Any cool facts or tidbits you’d like to share?
A: More facts: I am a huge fan of jigsaw puzzles. My personal best is assembling a 1000 piece puzzle in less than 90 minutes. I enjoy most sports/hiking/biking. I collect some eclectic stuff like Legos, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter memorabilia, anime figures, etc. I have a juvenile bearded dragon named Vanilor. I enjoy hosting people at my house, which I just bought last year. And I love a good story, whether it's a play, a book, a song, a movie, or something else. I used to be a voracious reader, but sadly it seems to happen less every year. Favorite author is Brandon Sanderson. His world building, plot structure, unique magic systems, and stellar character development are all wonderful, in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing with us, Nathan. We are honored to host your first play.
Nathan is in our latest production “The Inspector of Oz”. We are so excited to share him as an actor and his super fun character with you this fall.
